For OUR RECIPE you will need ...
1 sachet Schwartz Creamy Mushroom Stroganoff Recipe Mix
1 tbs oil
1 onion, chopped
450g (1lb) mushrooms, quartered
225ml (8fl oz) milk
1. Heat oil and fry onion for 3-4 minutes, until softened.
2. Add mushrooms and fry for a further 3-4 minutes. Mix sachet contents with milk and stir into pan. Bring to the boil, stirring.
3. Simmer for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
4. Serve with rice or pasta.
Hints & Tips ...
Delicious with white mushrooms or chestnut mushrooms. Try replacing half of the mushrooms with asparagus and stirring in cooked tagliatelle.
Microwave directions for 800W: Place oil, onions and mushrooms in a microwavable dish, cover and cook on full power for 4 minutes. Stir half-way through. Blend sachet mix with the milk and add to the mushrooms. Stir well, cover and cook on full power for 7 minutes. Stir half-way through. Leave to stand for 2 minutes.
Store in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight.
