A rich and creamy sauce flavoured with lemon and herbs, combined with delicious chicken, bacon and leeks, and topped with cheese for a quick and tasty mid-week meal.
Ingredients
  • 450 gram (1 pound) boneless, skinless chicken breasts, sliced

  • 100 gram (4 ounce) bacon, diced

  • 225 gram (8 ounce) leeks, sliced

  • 1 sachet Chicken & Leek Bake Recipe Mix

  • 450 millilitre (¾ pint) semi-skimmed milk

  • 50 gram (2 ounce) Cheddar cheese, grated

Instructions

  • 1 Pre-heat oven to 200?C, 400?F, Gas Mark 6.
  • 2 Fry chicken, bacon and leeks for 5 minutes. Mix sachet contents with milk and pour over chicken. Bring to the boil, stirring and simmer for 5 minutes.
  • 3 Transfer to an ovenproof dish, top with cheese and bake in the oven for 20 minutes.
  • 4 Serve with mashed potatoes.
