Spicy Fruit Crumble
A really quick and easy dessert using frozen mixed berries and eating apples, flavoured with Mixed Spice and topped with a delicious crumble.
- 1 Pre-heat the oven to 180°C, 350°F, Gas Mark 4.
- 2 Place the fruit, 25g (1oz) sugar, 2 tbs water and 1 tsp Mixed Spice in a saucepan. Bring to the boil and simmer gently for 5 minutes. Transfer to an ovenproof serving dish.
- 3 Place the flour, 75g (3oz) sugar and 1 tsp Mixed Spice in a bowl and rub in the butter until it resembles breadcrumbs. Top the fruit with this crumble mixture and bake for 45 minutes.
