Matcha Green Tea with Ginger and Citrus Blend
Matcha is a finely ground green tea powder, used to add flavour, colour and nutritional benefits to foods. This vibrant blend of matcha, lemon peel and ginger can be used every day to flavour a variety of sweet and savoury foods, including chicken, seafood, smoothies and desserts.
- 1 Pre-heat the oven to 110°C, 225°F, Gas Mark ¼, remove the lemon peel from the lemon using a vegetable peeler. Place the peel on a baking sheet and bake in the oven for 3 hours. (For best results, leave the lemon peel in oven overnight to completely dry out.) Crush the dried peel in a mortar and pestle or grind in a clean coffee grinder.
- 2 Mix the lemon peel powder, matcha green tea powder and the Ground Ginger together until well blended.
- 3 Store in a tightly covered jar in a cool, dry place.
