Tomato Soup
Our tomato soup recipe packs a punch thanks to the addition of Schwartz Italian Herb Seasoning and a touch of paprika to help give this classic dish a contemporary twist.

Ingredients

600 millilitre (1 pint) vegetable stock

300 millilitre (1/2 pint) milk

2 x 400g (14oz) tins chopped tomatoes

1 tablespoons sugar

1 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce

Salt and Black Peppercorns Mill, , freshly ground

50 gram (2 ounce) butter

1 onion, chopped
-
1 teaspoon Garlic Cooking Paste

2 teaspoon Italian Herb Mix

1/2 teaspoon Paprika

3 tablespoons plain flour

Instructions
- 1 Melt the butter in a saucepan and fry the onion until softened. Add the Garlic, Italian Herb Seasoning, Paprika and flour. Cook for 1 minute.
- 2 Blend in the liquid and add the remaining ingredients. Bring to the boil. Cover and simmer for 5-10 minutes.
- 3 Cool slightly. Purée in a liquidizer or food processor
